-70 to Paris

This is a nice day to start this blog.
I finally finished my Step 2CK exam (let's keep the finger crossed) and I just realized that in 20 days I'll have to pack everything and move to my home town then to Paris. We are absolutely thrilled at the idea.
Ok, there  still a lot to do before we actually go there but we can finally see the mark on the calendar by turning just a couple of pages. And this mean that time is running and in 2 months (more or less) we'll be in our new home in Paris.

I still remember when in October Giuseppe was spinning the glob and pointing randomly at places...South Korea, Japan, Dubai, Egypt, Paris.....wait a moment?!!? Paris? You mean we can choose any of these places to spend a whole year? Well, sorry guys, there's no contest. It's Paris for sure!

And then, a couple of months later, when we finally got the confirmation, I was putting Josh asleep, lights turned down, quietly reviewing with him all the good things that went on that day...and I asked him:" Josh, what would you say if mom tells you that we're going to move a year in Paris?". He immediately stood up, look at me excited and asked me: " You mean that I can see the Tour Eiffel? And eat baguettes? That's cool!". So I went on: " Josh, you know, you won't only see the Tour Eiffel every day for an entire year and have croissant every morning for breakfast, you will also eat escargots..." " Mom, what's that?" "..snails.." "BLEAH!" "...and bouillabaisse..." "Mom, what's that?" "...fish soup.." "Eew!"  " ...and foie gras!" "Mom, what's that?" "Duck liver, honey". "Yuck, what the heck do those French people eat? Can I just have croissant?"

So, now it's time to leave these nice memories and go to sleep. Tomorrow it's packing day n.1!

Cheers,
Isa
